St. Gallen management model (SGMM)

A management framework developed in the 1960s at the University St.Gallen and first published by Hans Ulrich and Walter Krieg in 1972. The model supports managers in thinking holistically and in doing a completion check in the field of strategic management. In addition to that, the model allows enough flexibility to implement further methods and solutions. Revised by Rüegg-Stürm, the model was published in 2002 as “The new St. Gallen management model”. The method “Netmapping” is based on the SGMM and connects its elements to a dynamic System (netmap).
